soaking up freedom

If life is a journey, here's some bits and pieces of mine.

I love Jesus, I love tearjerkers, and I love corniness. I also love sports and crazy adventurous things, and sweet girly lovely things. I love seeing stereotypes broken. I want the world to know freedom.

Whom have I in heaven but YOU? And earth has nothing I desire besides YOU. My flesh and my heart may fail, but the Lord is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:25-26)

I’m back! The trip was amazing. More to come. Right now it’s 3am in Europe, so I’m drained. But I have rest lined up for me! Thanks, Jesus!

Friends! I just wanted to give a little update about MONTENEGRO!! Tomorrow is our halfway point. We are seeing how much God loves this country, and how the Kingdom of God works. I feel so honored to see how he is moving in love and power here. And shout out to my team, who are already like family.
My Father is insanely better than I have ever realized. Pray for Montenegro, that Jesus would be revealed more and more here. He really loves this place, and I have found him here in a new and beautiful way. I love you, or in Montenegrin, ya volim tebe! :)
Back in the Atl on the 30th!

Hey friends! I will be flying out of Atlanta tomorrow to the beautiful country of Montenegro. Hollah! I am insanely grateful for everyone’s prayers and support. I really see this as a present from God- He’s letting me go on such a fun trip, wants to use it to stretch and strengthen me, and wants to let me see and be a part of how his Kingdom is advancing. Hallelujah!

Guys, our Father loves it when we go to Him and ask Him for things. So will you take a few minutes to pray for my team?:

  • for travel time- we have loads of it! That we wouldn’t be exhausted but fully capable to be ourselves and bless each other and those around us. (this one’s for me specifically- I’m nervous I’ll be pretty tired after it all)
  • that people would see Jesus in the way that we love each other as a team- for supernatural unity
  • for the country of Montenegro- that Jesus’ name would be honored and loved
  • for humility- that we wouldn’t have to mindset of people who know everything, but that we will go in as learners, and that God would teach us how to honor the people there and love them in a way that expresses His love
  • fun for us and the Montenegrins in out interactions. The Kingdom of God is full of joy and fun.
  • anything else you can think of!

Please feel free to text me before we fly out tomorrow, any encouragement, goodbyes, etc.  If you are someone who’s reading this, chances are I really love you and I’m sincerely blessed you’re in my life. Jesus thinks you’re stellar.

how each year when we leave, it’s hard. my heart aches, and i get all emotional. good things to come, but i am so sentimental it’s ridiculous.

I am about to be a senior in college. So many people go through this same moment, that it’s hardly worth mentioning. But my sad little heart has to cry out a little. I have no idea where my junior year went. No time period in my life has ever gone faster. So bittersweet.
