soaking up freedom

If life is a journey, here's some bits and pieces of mine.

I love Jesus, I love tearjerkers, and I love corniness. I also love sports and crazy adventurous things, and sweet girly lovely things. I love seeing stereotypes broken. I want the world to know freedom.

Whom have I in heaven but YOU? And earth has nothing I desire besides YOU. My flesh and my heart may fail, but the Lord is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:25-26)

I remember the first time I snuck out of my house.

I was 13.

When we first moved into my house,my parents wisely put me in the room right next to their’s, however, it had a window that opened to the roof over the porch. As with most things I attempted as a teenager, the distance between the…

WORTH YOUR MINUTE.

We’re gonna go 100 years with God being nice to us, and he’s gonna say, “I can’t wait till tomorrow!!” We’re gonna say, “Why?” He’s gonna say, “‘CAUSE I GET TO BE NICE TO YOU!”

We’re gonna say, “This is ridiculous.
…ridiculously awesome!!”

You think he’s the Father that comes home and says, “I’m not telling you kids I love you because I said it that one time ten years ago”?
No.
He comes home, swoops up his kids in his arms, and he kisses them and says “Ooh, I love you I love you I love you!”
And they say, “Ooh, Daddy, say it again!”
And he goes, “I LOVE YOU!”

and that’s us. That’s how he is with us.
